Velma Thomas-Aguilar is a board certified Physician Assistant who joined our team in June 2020. She obtained her Bachelors in Clinical Laboratory Sciences in 2000 from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She worked as a clinical microbiologist at University Hospital and for Lab Corp. She obtained her Bachelors in Health Care Sciences and her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2008. She worked in neurosurgery and orthopedic spine for the past twelve years. She is a member of the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants and American Academy of Physician Assistants. She is married with three children. She and her family are members of the Destiny Center church in Fort Worth. She enjoys vinyl crafting and embroidering.
